The 2021 legislative session will bring many challenges for our lawmakers and high on the list will be the continuing revitalization of our schools in order to invest in our future by providing the highest quality education for the next generation of Oregonians. This investment must center the well being of our youth by providing the resources they need not just to survive, but to thrive in the post covid world. This starts with decreasing class sizes and providing counselors to help them process the trauma of living through a pandemic and expands outward to include options like vocational training to prepare students for the 21st century green jobs our future demands.
