As someone who has spent his life working for small businesses that don’t provide healthcare for employees, I’m familiar with what it means to buy insurance on the ACA marketplace. I recognize that it’s an improvement over the bad old days when people could be denied coverage based on preexisting conditions but still a deeply flawed system. I believe that healthcare is a human right and I’m committed to building a future where every Oregonian has access to quality affordable healthcare. This means that as a state legislator I will take every opportunity to expand access to care and make prescription drugs more affordable.
